Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, located on a peninsula jutting into Lake Victoria, a representative from Anthill Safaris will greet you. You’ll then transfer to the cozy Airport Guest House in Entebbe for your overnight stay, allowing you to rest and prepare for the exciting journey ahead

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from Airport Guest House for the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You may stop at the Equator Crossing at Kayabwe for photos and refreshments or save this for the return trip. The journey continues with a lunch break in Mbarara town before proceeding to either Bwindi or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, depending on your gorilla permit. Upon arrival, check-in at Travellers Rest Hotel or a similar facility for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up at 5:00 am for an early breakfast. At 6:00 am, you will set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving by 7:30 am. After registration and briefing at the park’s headquarters, your guide will lead you into the dense forest to track the gorillas. The experience of sitting among the gorillas, observing their behaviors, and being in the presence of the mighty silverback is indescribable. After the one-hour encounter, return to the starting point and commence the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, check in at Bunyonyi Overland Resort for your stay.

After an early breakfast, check out at 8:00 am for the seven-hour drive back to Entebbe. A lunch stop will be made either in Mbarara town or at the Equator crossing, depending on time. After lunch, continue to Entebbe, stopping at the Equator if lunch was in Mbarara. Your driver will then transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
