Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading to the Kinigi Park headquarters at 6:30 AM. Arrive at the Kinigi ranger station by 7:00 AM for a briefing and guide assignment. Only eight people can track each group, ensuring an intimate experience. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, covering up to 40 kilometers. Spend an unforgettable hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After this awe-inspiring experience, make your way back to the lodge.

Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters. Today, you’ll experience the golden monkey trek, another remarkable adventure. The trek to see the golden monkeys is easier and takes about 1 to 2 hours. These rare old-world monkeys live only in the Virunga Mountain range and are listed as endangered. The golden monkeys live in groups of up to 90, usually led by one adult male. Two habituated groups are available for visitors, one with about 80 to 100 members located at the foot of Mt. Sabyinyo. Like the gorilla trek, the golden monkey trek happens in the morning, allowing visitors to spend one hour with the monkeys. OUR TESTIMONIALS

Discover why travelers keep choosing us for unforgettable escapes

Uganda felt raw, green, and honest. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi was emotional, but I also loved Queen Elizabeth’s boat safari and quiet village walks. The people made the journey feel personal.

    Emily Carter United Kingdom

I came for gorillas, but Uganda gave me much more. Murchison Falls was powerful, Kibale’s chimpanzees were lively, and every guide seemed proud to share the country properly.

    Daniel Moore Canada

I expected the gorilla trekking to be the highlight, and it was. But Uganda’s green hills, Rwanda’s calm roads, and the stories from our guides stayed with me just as much.

    Claire Dubois France

Rwanda felt easy to travel through, yet full of meaning. Akagera’s wildlife, Nyungwe’s canopy walk, and the gorilla trek all showed different sides of this small, beautiful country.
