The 1 Day Bwindi Gorilla Tour sounds like a short safari tour package but carries a great, memorable experience of gorilla trekking. You can encounter them in only three countries: Uganda, referred to as “the pearl of Africa,” Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Amazingly, Uganda is gifted with two gorilla national parks that remain: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Forest National Park. In Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park and Virunga National Park in Congo. Around 1,063 mountain gorillas exist in the world, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to about half of them.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the southwestern region of Uganda, conducts gorilla trekking every day of the year in its four gorilla sectors: Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Nkuringo. The park currently has over 23 habituated gorilla families/groups, which visitors can reach on either a gorilla trekking or a gorilla habituation experience. Gorilla trekking includes an hour to spend with gorillas as you enjoy their amazing lifestyle. Gorilla Habituation Experience includes 4 hours to spend with gorillas experiencing their behaviors, habits, and feeding, as well as enjoying the perfect photography. You can start this 1 Day Gorilla trekking from the closest area or place to the park, such as Kanungu, Kihihi, Kisoro, and any other nearby hotel or lodge.
